I dunno -- the model seems to be easy enough. It should send me any message that shows up on my personal Jaiku "home" page on the website (though oddly enough in the opposite order -- the website puts the latest at the top, IM clients put it at the bottom

See, the problem I was talking about though was the interaction. Now you're replying to my previous comment but as a separate thread, rather than a comment to your previous thread. There should be a way of carrying that extra 'thread ID' information over XMPP, but I'm not sure if the standard IM clients would handle it nicely for replying.

Threads are the one thing that really separates Jaiku from Identi.ca and Twitter. The intelligent way of showing a full conversation rather than a pile of uncoordinated, disconnected 'posts'. If I click on a post on Twitter or Identi.ca I get only that one post, in the middle of the screen, in big text. I don't want that, I want to see the replies, from anyone that has replied, in context.
